Ailo Gaup

(June 28, 1944 in Kautokeino), Norwegian autho r and a shaman, Saam. Shortly after birth, was put into an orphan age, he grew up in southern Norway. He worked as a journalist, wr ites in the Norwegian language. He debuted in 1982 a volume of po ems Joiken og kniven, in addition to poetry collections to his achievements in the two novels and plays. His works derive from Lapland mythology and traditions, as well as folk singing (Yoik). There are magical elements in them (shamanism). ..........
